3 days passed my due date, and still no baby. I didn't really think it was possible to go overdue with your third child. I mean after all, it's the third time your body has done this, doesn't it know what to do at this point? Yes, I was 10 days overdue with Anise, but she was so little I figured that was why. This time I'm worried the baby is going to be huge - and my definition of huge is anything over 7 pounds - Kaden was 6lbs 12oz, and Anise was 5lbs 1oz, so you can see why my view of huge may be a bit distorted.
I have been given an induction date (not to be confused with a seduction date - hehehe, thanks for sharing that one Michelle, it really made my day!) May 27th. Yup, 11 long days after my due date! But at least there is an end in sight, even if you need binoculars to see it. Until then, I have to go to the hospital every 2 or 3 days for a non stress test, to make sure baby is still doing OK hanging out in there longer. I had my first one today, and I was having contractions the entire time I was there (which by the way totally defeats the purpose of a non stress test, but now we know the baby can handle contractions) Actually, I've been having contractions since 3am, but they are random and obviously not doing a whole lot. So, until they pick up I'm still hanging out at home, running kids here and there, and praying that I don't have to wait until the 27th to have this child.
Lets start a baby pool. When's this kid going to make an appearance?
